Is your Heart Open?

Open the heart to life.  Open the heart to love. The heart center holds an enormous amount of power in our lives. We might say it acts as the gateway to our experience of life. How open or un-open our heart remains in any moment dictates how much love, joy, bliss and peace we experience in our lives.  The heart center is the first of the chakras that begins to open up our higher realms of consciousness and spirit.  Without an open heart, we will find it challenging to know the divine within… within ourselves or within another.

When we speak of walls of protection built to keep out the pain of the past, those walls typically go around our heart.  Sometimes we want to be loved so much, but we can’t feel the abundant love that actually surrounds us because our walls are keeping it out. Sometimes our heart ache prevents us from loving fully again because of the risk of loss.

Sacred love and Tantra invite you to remove all the barriers to love within and around your heart

Pay particular attention to your heart center in the coming days.  Notice how it feels. Is it open? Closed? Somewhere in between?

Ask yourself, what would have to happen for it to open even wider?  Listen for the reply. Can you give it that?

What would have to let go of to open your heart wider?

Who would you need to forgive to open wider?

What would you need to believe in?

Who would you need to trust?

For a moment, place your hand over your heart and infuse it with the energies of love, tenderness, compassion, acceptance… whatever your heart needs, offer it through your touch.

Say to your heart whatever words come to you.

If emotion arises, just let it come and let it go.  Your touch, your words, your love can release old stuck energies… and emotion is simply energy in motion.

Your heart allows love in and allows love out.  For the deepest love, intimacy, passion and ecstasy, do whatever it takes to open your heart to the fullest of being alive.

May your heart be blessed with abundant love.

In love, light and ecstasy,

Joanna Shakti
