Living from the Heart

How would it feel if you were truly living from your heart each moment of every day? Pause for a moment and imagine yourself setting aside your to-do list, your responsibilities, and even, any decisions from the past that make you feel stuck or trapped in life. Imagine now what it would feel like to take your next step from inspiration – from inspiration to do what you’ve always dreamed of doing, to be who you’ve always known yourself to be, or even to love yourself and take a well needed nap or sit in the afternoon.

If you allowed yourself to live from this place of inspired action, how would you really feel? Would you feel happier, more alive, more relaxed, more fulfilled, freer, more loving, more yourself? If you felt all these expansive emotions, I wonder how those around you might respond – your children, co-workers, spouse, employees, friends, or clients? I wonder what difference you living from your heart might make in their lives.

We don’t always recognize it, yet we continuously influence those around us – with our thoughts, words, requests, expectations, and behaviors. How do you want to show up for yourself, your family, and your colleagues and clients? Would your prefer to show up with a head full of activities, demands and responsibilities, just trying to get through the day, cross the next thing off of the to-do list, or get the next bill paid? Or would you prefer to show up with a smile, an open heart, and an authentic presence?

If you are at all like I was a few years ago, you may feel trapped – trapped in your life, your commitments and your obligations…trapped in the way things “have always been. These traps are illusions born of our past conditioning, life experiences, and fears. These internal memories, beliefs, thoughts and emotions come together to unconsciously drive our behaviors. Then we wonder, “Why do I act that way?” “Why do I seem to get part way to my dreams and goals and then they seem to fall apart or drift away?” It’s because we are living from our stored past, not from our passion, our heart, our soul. We are not living in the present moment and the past pain and conditioning stops us in our tracks and it does not have to!

What stops you from living and leading from your heart? Is it fear? fear of judgment? fear of failure? fear of success? Is it overwhelm or exhaustion? It is the list of “shoulds”? Is it expectations of ourselves or others? Is it believing we don’t really have anything to offer?

The simple truth is…when we are willing to open up to our heart’s desires, when we are willing to open up to our essential essence, and turn to face our fears, thoughts, and beliefs… it is then that we can see their falseness, their trap. Only then can they begin to fall away effortlessly. We are set free to live from our inspiration, from our hearts.

In love, light and ecstasy,
