A Prayer for Love… Please Dont Wait

A Prayer for Love… Please Don’t Wait…

This post brings my deepest prayer, desire, hope… whatever you want to call it… to you to live and love fuller than you ever have before.  I pray that you get to know the profound depth and pleasure of true love… true ecstasy.

Are you one of the millions (like me) who have said, “As soon as…”, “If she’d only…”, “When _____….”,  “I’m too _____ right now…”?

Then you waited… you continue to wait for some unknown time in the future to start looking for love… to go for that dream… to say I love you… or I’m sorry… to begin that hobby…. to spend time playing with your kids… to make love with your beloved…

Please don’t wait…

Please don’t wait…

I know I might sound like a broken record of those inspirational quotes on Facebook or the stories of others who have loved and lost… or maybe you heard those “wise” words of wisdom before.. AND I HAVE to say it again…

Please don’t wait another moment to live, love, and make love.

And, if you’re single, yes you too can make love… You have to choose love first.  (And, please know I say that with the utmost love and compassion.)

Love is for the having, if you’ll have it.  Yes, the path to love can hurt, it can be scary… but the ecstasy of true love is worth it.

Why am I writing this?  Because spirit, life, the universe…again, whatever you’d like to call it… has been showing me… over and over and over again… the preciousness of each moment of life.  Whether it’s been…

  • A daily book of inspiration that speaks of the many who get to the end of life full of regrets and “I wishes…”
  • The fact that I never had the children I longed for…
  • Losing an incredible man from the Enlightened Love Academy because he left this world “too soon”… who was my friend, cheerleader and support… who will never meet his children’s spouses or his grandchildren…
  • Or another man in the Academy who was hit by a car on his bike… fortunately it left the bike in 4 pieces but him in tact.
  • Or the mutual friend of Geoff Laughton and I, who stands 24 hour vigil in the hospital by her husband who appears to be fading away day by day after 7 weeks of some yet undiagnosed brain infection. (At noon on a Friday, all was “normal”, by 7 they were in the hospital and haven’t left since.)
  • Or, different yet, the spiritual text that reminds me that death is our greatest teacher.

I don’t share this with you to depress you… I share it with you so that you can have the same wakeup I’m having.

LIFE IS NOW…  not tomorrow… not next month or next year… NOW.

Death is a reminder to live… to live this moment fully…

Don’t walk away scared thinking “next time…”

Don’t imagine you can do it “someday”…

There honestly may be no other time for you, or me, or the ones we love (or are meant to love…) except NOW.

Seize the day.  Seize the moment. This is all you know you have.

Stop waiting for the right circumstances… or more time or more money… or more anything.

I’m calling to you to find the deepest truth in your heart and follow it…

To set aside the pain, the blame, the righteous, the fear… anything and everything that blocks love.  (Please get help if you need it.)

This is the time to live, to laugh, to love.

This is the time to make love.

In love, light and ecstasy,

Joanna Shakti
