What if everything is ok

What If Everything Is Ok?

Ask yourself, “What if everything is ok?”

What if you felt OK – even good – about everything happening in your life right now?  What if your life experiences – no matter what they are – were “right” and not “wrong”, “good” and not “bad” – just for a change?  How would you really feel?

Making your world right… One question at a time

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned encourages me to make everything in my life ok – what I’m doing, or not doing, how I’m reacting, how I’m feeling, what I weigh, how my relationship is going, what others around me are doing. The lesson is about not judging ANYTHING in my life to be less than OK; to realize it’s perfect.

We all seem to spend so much time focusing on what’s wrong with ourselves, our lives, and other people… we think, “if I’d only tried a little harder, or if I could just do a little more, or I shouldn’t feel tired or they should be nicer to me, or I should look better, or I need to do more for my kids.” We do this to ourselves all the time… Have you ever really noticed how much you make yourself and your life less than ok? I didn’t, until I started paying attention. Each time we think these thoughts we make this moment something less than perfect; we judge it to be somehow less than ok. How does that feel? It felt pretty lousy to me.

Let’s look at a new approach…
Several years ago I read a wonderful book called There is Nothing Wrong with You by Cheri Huber. This book has impacted my life profoundly and I’ve used this main idea with numerous friends and clients since then.

In a nut shell, the question I now so often ask myself, my partner, my friends and my clients when something doesn’t seem to be going “right” or we are fearing “what might happen” is… ‘What if it was ok? What if what you are feeling, experiencing or even fearing was simply ok? How much different would you feel?’

So I challenge you this week… Anytime…
•    you have a feeling you think you shouldn’t have or wish you weren’t having
•    you are afraid or worried about what might happen
•    you feel as if you’ve been wronged or someone hasn’t done right by you
•    you judge something about yourself or your life
•    you judge something about another person
•    you wish you could change the past – even it was only a moment ago
•    you try to change your partner or your kids
•    you try to change yourself

Ask yourself….

‘What if this situation, feeling, experience, or person is perfect exactly as it is?’

See how you feel. I bet in only a moment you’ll be able to breath easier and deeper… and that you’ll be surprised by the shifts and realizations you experience!

May your discovery that there is nothing wrong with you or your life… no matter what your mind may tell you… bring you much peace, love and lots of laughter!

In love, light and ecstasy,
